I know making resolutions is way too main stream, I usually only make a resolution to forget I made it by time February has arrived. This year is different. I know, I know, you are thinking we all say that, like every year but this year feels different. I am not sure if turning 30 has something to do with it, or the fact that 2016 was one hell of a year but January 1st means a new beginnings and good time as any to change some things.
Commitment or buy in to anything start by writing it down, right?
Commitment or buy in to anything start by writing it down, right?
So here it is, a new year resolutions I pledge to keep:
No new clothes/shoes. Yes, a blogger (and a shopaholic) is committing to a year of no new clothes, shoes, accessories or purses. Amy called me out of buying more things than usual in December but I knew I would have to get few things that I will need in order to get through 2017. I came up with this out of two reasons: one is the fact that saving money never hurt anyone and second, more importantly, I have three closets filled with clothes and wall of shoes where many things have only been worn once, or never. Seemed like a waste, right? So here is to purging by not acquiring anything new... that is thing right?
Beat my Super Spartan time. Making health/ fit resolutions are usually a big miss for me. I am eternally lazy but I do very well with challenges. I convinced Amy to run spartan last year (you can read all about it here) , and I would like to do more than just survive it, this year I plan to crush my time from last year.
Read more. I read often but I will go months without reading a book, and other months I will power throughout three books. (Or read 3 books while in Cuba for a week). Reading is very important to me, so I commit to reading 2 books a month.
What are you pledging to change in 2017?
