As you know I don’t do very many DIY’s on here (I do on Instagram and my Pinterest) but I needed a clutch for a dress and no time to go get it. Using what I had at the house I made this simple but cute and effective clutch. It’s too easy and I got a ton of compliments on it, and major bonus– and it’s cheap.
I priced it out and it would be about $10 (in my case it would have cost $10.97: 3.99 for a glue gun at dollar store, magnets $1.99 and $4.99 for placemat)
This is so versatile, you can make it in any color or size you want. I originally thought I would have to sew the edges but the hot glue held all night and is still in place.
What you need:
a place mat of choice. I used this faux leather one
magnets
glue gun
needle and thread.
How to make:
Fold the place mat
Glue the edge (Squeeze a good amount of hot glue, and hold down. I used paper clips to hold the edges down in place while they set). Then repeat the hot gluing on the other side
Using the hot glue gun place magnets.
