Pizza is a way of life at my house, so to change it up I made these pizza rolls. Its fun and flavor-packed dish.
What you need:
Pizza Dough
Kosher salt
Marinara Sauce
½ cup grated Parmesan
1 cup shredded cheese
2 chicken breast, seasoned cooked and cut into pieces
½ cup chopped mushrooms
¼ cup diced green bell peppers
How to make it:
In skillet cook chicken. Set aside.
Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
Roll out the Pizza Dough on a floured surface until it's a large rectangle about 8 inches by 12 inches. Smear with a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
Spread the surface with about 1/2 cup of the Marinara Sauce, then sprinkle with the Parmesan. Lay the mozzarella slices over the sauce. Smear the pesto over the cheese. Lay on the chicken, peppers and mushrooms.
Top off with more cheese.
Roll to the dough.
Slice into 1-inch pieces and place them in a 10-inch cast-iron skillet
Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
4Bake until the bread is golden and the fillings are bubbly, about 15 minutes.
Serve immediately with warm Marinara Sauce
